Origin: Orvieto, Umbria, Italy
Grape Variety: Grechetto, Procanico
Alcohol Level: 12% ABV
Serving Temperature: 9-11°C
Ruffino, Orvieto Classico
Colour: Brilliant straw yellow.
Nose: The bouquet is very distinctive: fruity and flowery with hints of fresh picked meadow flowers, citrus fruits, golden apple with a characteristic mineral touch in the finish.
Palate: The taste is lightly sweet and smooth thanks to the balance between structure, acidity and fruity notes. The aftertaste is fragrant, with neat hits of white peach and fresh almond due to the chalky soil of the Orvieto production area.
It is paired with fish soups, chargrilled seafood and various dishes based on field mushrooms and porcini mushrooms. This wine is wonderful with squid ink lasagnette pasta and crayfish sauce.
